Palm Tree Resort by ZEN Rooms

The main drawback is the old air conditioning, which is really noisy. Even so, Palm Tree is good value, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious, and have all the amenities. You’re right by the sea, so you can look out at the ocean while eating or having a beer. Bars, clubs, and shops are an easy walk away. The staff throughout were pleasant and gave great service.

We picked the place for the pool as well as the beach, but the pool was closed. The staff were courteous and responsive, and the food was good, but there were too many problems with how things were handled. There were no towels in the room, so we used our own. At checkout, staff asked about their towels, and when we said none had been provided, they told us we had to request them. Towels should be in the room when you check in. You have to ask for everything here. They also said there’s no senior discount for online bookings, only direct ones. I booked through their website and paid half, so I don’t understand why that wasn’t enough. And they won’t give you an official receipt unless you ask. That’s how they evade paying taxes! I hope this review helps others.

We stayed in the London room, which is like a suite, and the room was an excellent size. The stay was good otherwise, but the TV was in the bedroom instead of the front room, and its reception was poor.

Palm tree resort is well run, with lovely staff and great prices. The customers fit the happy, laid-back atmosphere. Everyone enjoys it.
