The pool was shaded for much of the day by the trees and building around it. We used it once since we were out during the day. The place is good value compared with other stays nearby, but they miss some details that would make it a better stay. The rooms are basic but have what you need, and we were okay there just outside the center. We moved to a deluxe room for our last night because it was the only one available, but it had no WiFi, which was disappointing. We also paid 500p for an airport transfer, which felt expensive, then waited more than an hour outside reception to be picked up. No apology or compensation was offered. I guess just take a tuktuk. Hopefully they learn that the last impression matters.

A lovely, affordable find only a few minutes’ walk from the town center. The rooms are clean and the bedclothes comfortable. It’s peaceful, with a beautiful garden, pool area, and billiard table. Thank you.

The price didn’t feel right for what we got. Water pressure was low, there was no hot water, and my girlfriend couldn’t rinse the conditioner out of her hair. They didn’t offer a refund.

The staff were the best. When our tour was cancelled at short notice, they helped us book a boat for a very reasonable price. The boatmen even helped us buy food at the market and cooked for us, then took us to several lovely islands at our own pace. The location is just right for town: close enough to walk to lunch or dinner, but far enough from the establishments that you don’t hear their noise. We saw lots of people asking to stay here after booking places in the town proper that turned out to be too noisy. The room was okay for the price, so keep expectations reasonable. Water pressure was on the low side, maybe because we were on the very top floor, but it was manageable. There are friendly cats around, and they don’t have fleas, despite what others here say. I have cats myself, so I checked before playing with them.

Very clean, with a great pool, location, and staff. Good value for the money.
