We booked this group stay through Agoda nearly four months ahead, for Apr 14-17 2023, but when we arrived on our scheduled dates they said the place was full. The manager told me “Agoda” had messed up the booking, so they hadn't seen ours, and people who booked later were given rooms instead. What a mess. Agoda had reassured me that the booking was confirmed and no reconfirmation with the transient was needed. Still, I texted the place on the Sunday before our stay and got no reply. The manager then said I should have confirmed earlier, as if it were our fault and not something they should have handled as business owners. The staff showed no remorse or empathy and took no accountability or initiative to help. The whole response was unprofessional. Management and customer service were poor. The neighborhood and surrounding area seemed a bit shady, and the location is quite far from major places nearby. Don't stay here. I should've trusted the reviews. The way they take criticism is a huge red flag.

Our Booking reservation was for one night in a room for 4 people, but when we arrived they said it was fully booked. They offered the same price for a room for 2 with two mattresses on the floor. It was already small for two, and the mattresses barely fit, so it was very uncomfortable. The secretary spoke poor English and didn't seem keen to help, just kept repeating that this was the option. The surroundings felt bad and not very safe. It's hard to get there too: tricycles don't go all the way up the road and drop you about 100 metres from the entrance. There's nothing to do nearby. The closest thing is a casino, about a half-hour walk away.

For the price, it's a decent, clean, quiet place, with what you need, including a fridge and clean drinking water. The host, ate, always had a lovely smile that rubbed off on me and made me smile too. Thank you, ate.

The staff were accommodating, and it's a great place to stay. The location is the one problem. I didn't feel very safe, and you can't bring a car because there's no garage, so you're obliged to walk.

It was fair enough for what I paid. The toilet is the only drawback, it's the countryside style where you have to scoop water with a bowl and pour it in to flush.
