The front desk ladies were friendly and helpful, and the rates are low. But the rooms are small, so check for bugs, ants, and ipiss. The place feels short on maintenance, and it can take a lot of requests to get a room into acceptable shape. The water system was rough, with a hydrogen sulfide smell, and there was no hot water. The bathroom is cramped, with the shower, toilet, and sink squeezed together, so make sure the drains work. The in house food is gone, too.

The staff were wonderful, and the hotel is close to the airport. My hotel rep picked me up, which was fine, no complaints. Snacks and a few personal items are sold at the front desk, and Jolly Bee delivery was available until about 8pm, with great service. The menu itself was very limited, just local food cooked in the upstairs kitchen, where staff conversation could get noisy if your room is nearby. I stayed two nights, and both were noisy. There was loud singing one night until 10pm, plus knocking and things falling somewhere. I couldn't tell if it was construction. The rooms are small, though okay for a couple of nights, and hot water was available. My towel smelled a bit like cat urine. The bathroom window stayed open; it has bars and is on the second floor, so no one could get in from outside, but bugs or rodents could. For a short stay, two days at most, I'd rate it 2.5. I reserved a double twin room for 1,777 PHP in the afternoon and told them we'd arrive late. When we got there, the staff said they didn't know about the booking and only had a single bed room left, for 1,800 PHP. They admitted I'd reserved a double bed, but wouldn't lower the price, even though there were three of us and we'd all have to share one twin bed. The available room was very dirty, and the only way in was through a dirty garage. They also used the garage to justify the price, saying rooms with garages cost more, though we hadn't booked one and didn't even have a car. When I raised the booking mix-up again, they still refused a discount, saying their strict manager would make them pay for any discount. I suspect they gave our reserved room to someone else as evening got late, around 7pm, rather than wait, even though I'd said we'd be late. The property and rooms were dirty, and the staff were discourteous and lied freely. Their website photos don't match what you see in person, and the room prices are far too high. If you need a cheap place, skip AIS Hotel. There are nicer, cheaper places with kind, helpful staff. The misleading photos and dishonest staff made for a very disappointing stay.

Don't come here. The room was dirty and never got cleaned, and they charged me for an extra pillow but gave me nothing but excuses. They turned the water off for plumbing on checkout morning without telling anyone. When I asked how long it would take, I got no answer, so I told them I wouldn't pay a late checkout fee and asked for the hotel supervisor to contact me. At checkout they tried to charge me again for a room I'd already paid for in cash. Once I showed I was right, there was no apology, the staff member just sat in a corner. I can only assume it was an unsuccessful scam or outright thievery. I still don't know what anyone there does besides sit and talk.
