The owner gave us great tips for things to see around Bohol and helped arrange an island hopping trip, including transport. That made our trip much better. We stayed seven days and had a really great time. Everyone on staff was super friendly and ready to help, and they even took care of our laundry, which we appreciated. Breakfast was good, with several options to pick from. 🙂👍🏻

I really didn’t want to leave. The hosts were so friendly and incredibly helpful, and the location worked well for walking around. 7/11 is about three to five minutes away. My room was clean and quiet, with great water pressure and very hot water when needed. The internet was perfect, which is rare in the Philippines. The only downside was the tinted windows, which made the room darker. Otherwise, it was amazing :)

The free breakfast was a favorite, hearty and filling, with restaurant-quality meals. James and all his staff looked after us throughout our stay, were really nice, and handled every request professionally. The common area is well designed and a comfortable place to hang out. It’s also conveniently close to places we needed to go, with lots of interesting food spots nearby. A short walkway leads to the lodging and keeps it tucked away from the busy main street. The room was good for the price, with excellent water pressure and air conditioning that worked well. I’d definitely recommend James' place to anyone wanting to experience Panglao. Unks would be so proud!

I don’t often review a place during a stay, since most of the time our needs are met well enough. Unks House Homestay felt like home, though. Sir James went the extra mile and made my partner and me feel like part of his family. We appreciated all the hospitality and care. Since our flight was at 10PM, he even offered us a place to stay and use the comfort room until then, free of charge. We were very happy and satisfied, and will definitely come back with friends or family. Looking forward to seeing James and Emma again. God bless you more for all the goodness you’ve shown people.

A nice host made us sandwiches for breakfast, and the place was cozy and walkable, not far from alona. The entrance is down a short path off the main street, though it can be a little rocky.
