AC Hotel by Marriott Manila

The price feels very reasonable for the modern rooms and the service we received. Everything looked beautifully designed and brand new, and the staff took great care of us throughout the stay. And that mushroom soup was delicious. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend checking the hotel out.

The hotel is in a great spot, an easy walk to Podium Mall and Megamall, with Ortigas Park and a few food options just outside. Parking seems limited to basement 1, entered from the back along Topaz Rd. I was surprised to find a new Marriott in Ortigas Center. It had opened just last month, December 2025, and was still offering a promo rate. The lobby is on the 38th floor, with a breathtaking view over Eastern Metro Manila. My superior guest room was on the 55th floor. It felt like standard Marriott fare, though it was missing the usual full-size desk with outlets for a laptop and other gadgets. Room service wasn’t available yet, and the new bathroom towels were shedding. The pool and rooftop bar weren’t open when I visited. I’d come back once they are, which was estimated for February 2026.

The hotel and room are nice, but the service needs to improve quickly. I called At Your Service from the hotel phone ten times, then tried the main number listed, and nobody picked up either way. A message through the Bonvoy app got a reply hours later. The room had no iron or ironing board, and after three calls I waited over an hour for one to arrive. At checkout, they asked whether I’d used an extra breakfast. I’d stayed just one night with one guest, so I asked how that could be. Hadn’t they recorded that I’d already come in once with my guest?

Even during the soft launch, the hotel was better than I expected across the board. There were a few early snags while they worked on fixes, but the service was great and it really is a first class hotel. I’d happily stay again.
