Ardenhills Suites

We were a big group with kids, and the location worked out well. Laundry services were around the corner, and banks, grocery stores, and shopping centers were all walkable. They also stored our belongings while we traveled to other islands in the Philippines, on the understanding that we'd check in again before moving on. That was a big help. We appreciated the calls or emails when anything had been left in our room, too. The place felt clean and safe, and we thought the price, location, and friendly staff made it the right choice. There were a few small things needing repair. During heavy rain the water turned brown, which worried us, but they fixed the issue promptly. Breakfast was fair for the price, and it was convenient to head downstairs to eat. The staff were wonderful, especially Jomar. He greeted every one of us with a smile and gave great customer service. They take cleanliness and damage seriously, so be aware that stains on towels, even face towels, or other items may mean a room charge at checkout. We had a great time and would stay again.

The only letdown was the pool. It's covered and unheated, so it's too cold to swim in, and hardly anyone uses it. It feels like it's there for the Agoda photos. We stayed eight nights and kept extending because we liked the hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was great. Front desk and housekeeping service were great as well, and the price was good value.

The room was just right for us, with five in our group, and much bigger than rooms at some more popular hotel chains in the metro. It had a pleasing modern, minimal design. The kids' playground on the 4th Flr was a nice extra. Breakfast had enough choices for us, including our special needs child, though the selection wasn't huge. The room had slippers, towels, a toothbrush set, and soap, but no body lotion, conditioner, or laundry bag. The location was strategic, easy to find with Google Maps, and close to lots of restaurants and Catholic Churches. Parking is limited, and they advised us to take Grab so we wouldn't lose our slot, with several events happening during the Christmas season. Check-in was quick. Customer service was pretty good, though service took a while when we called for Housekeeping through the Front desk. We enjoyed our stay, and this was a good discovery.

We'd booked for 70 people, paid all the corkages, and settled early to secure the date, but weren't offered even one complimentary room. They also gave the larger hall, meant for 100 people, to an event with only 50 guests, while our group of 70-85 was assigned a 70-person hall. They even prioritized a pencil booking over our confirmed reservation without calling the other client to confirm, although we were willing to wait. The banquet sales team made the experience stressful. Ana was not accommodating and showed little consideration during coordination. Every concern we brought up got a “no,” and instead of helping find solutions, they kept asking us to pay more. It felt like there was no effort to support us, and we left feeling undervalued. We've booked banquet hotels many times and never been treated this poorly. I hope management addresses how the sales team handles guests.
