The front desk staff were good and listened to the problems we had with security, but the guard’s behavior was completely disrespectful. He was very rude and acted as if he owned the hotel. He made us feel like homeless people asking for shelter. He told me to park in the basement as though it were a command. My car couldn’t fit inside, and it ended up with scratches and damage. He didn’t seem to care and acted like nothing had happened. I asked how long he’d worked at the hotel, and he said three years. When I asked how he could have worked there that long and not know a car like mine couldn’t enter the basement, he had no answer. They also have rules that you can only enter the lobby after booking online, and you have to wait outside the gate until check-in time. It feels like they don’t want people to see the facilities before booking. Cancelling online is also really difficult, or they deduct some charges. I hope they take appropriate action over the guard’s bad treatment of customers.

I was happy with my stay at 59 Xavierville. The room was a good size and clean, the bathroom was roomy with hot or cold shower, and the basic amenities were there. Staff were courteous and security was respectful. It’s a neat, new place for transients, operated by Red Doorz, in the Xavierville area of Katipunan. The price is mid-range.
