The rooftop, gym, and pool areas had great views, and the internet worked well throughout the floors. My room was roomy and nicely furnished, though the rooms are studio-style condos, as is common in the Philippines. They only provided liquid soap, with no complimentary dental kit. The restaurant was small but clean and well lit. The food tasted good, though it was served quite modestly. In the shared outdoor spaces, the plastic carpet grass sometimes made the place look a little cheap, even if it served its purpose. The overall look is modern, chic, and elegant. Motorcycle parking could be better. Bikes were squeezed behind parked cars, making it hard for them to get out.

Really loved how spacious the room was, even the bathroom. It was one of my best stays so far, and I thought the room, facilities, and service were worth the money. The rates are affordable compared with many hotels. I'll definitely come back.

I booked after seeing all the great reviews on different sites, and they turned out to be right. My studio was spotless, very spacious, and had nicer interiors than most hotels I've stayed in. I also hadn't expected a complimentary mini buffet breakfast for two at the price I paid. Upper Story is excellent value, and I'll be back soon.

The roof deck and 26th-floor gym were highlights, especially the view. A cafe lounge up there would be nice, since it'd be a lovely spot for dinner with the city lights, a sunset, or the QC skyline at night. The room was spacious and had cooking utensils, a safe, hairdryer, toiletries, towels, and disposable slippers, though no bathrobe. The bed was comfortable enough, the air-conditioning worked fine, and the hot and cold water worked well. Wi-Fi was decent in the cafe and around the building, but mobile signal was spotty on the top floors. Check-in went smoothly because advance payment was accepted, though the lobby could use more seats when lots of people arrive or leave around the same time. The reception can take a while to answer, but once they do, they respond promptly. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but the buffet had brewed coffee and a choice of two juices. The pool was smaller than I expected. The card said one Hiidrate was complimentary, but I was charged for it, and there was no drinking water in the room when I arrived. I asked for extra pillows, but none were available. Cleaning could have been more thorough too: I found some hair on the bathroom floor and a small piece of card under the bed while looking for my keys. The hotel is near the malls in Cubao, so you can order delivery or drive to one nearby. It's also near the train station, though not close enough to walk.
