Alunsina Hotel and Spa

We had the best stay of our Panay road trip here. The staff were warm, the pool was large, and the facilities and rooms were very nice. Food at the restaurant was good and fairly priced, and the laundry came back very clean without costing much. Nothing to complain about.

The map feels coherent and tells a story through its geography, while still working well as a practical tool. Its landmarks help with orientation, and the routes naturally lead toward objectives while leaving side paths for curious players. Open areas and more detailed sections are balanced nicely, and the scale feels deliberate. The colors make different zones easy to pick out without crowding the view. I'd consider reducing clutter in transition areas so the visual noise doesn't hurt readability during fast movement. More consistent lighting cues for interactive elements could also help polish things further.

The hotel sits away from the busy areas, so it's peaceful and there's no loud traffic noise. The rooms are clean, plush and comfortable, with modern washrooms and powerful air-conditioning. Breakfast is included in the rate and has a reasonable range of choices. There's also a small restaurant, handy for meals, though it closes at seven, and a marked Foodpanda delivery spot. The pool is nice, and the staff are attentive, quick, helpful and friendly throughout. The airport shuttle is included, with a professional driver and help for the luggage. Next time we land, we'll ask for the pickup in advance. The event spaces are a great feature too. One hall fits around 20 to 50 people, and a larger one holds up to 150. Tables, chairs, microphones, music, air-conditioning and fans are provided, so the rooms work well for corporate events, birthdays or family gatherings. We'll definitely stay here again.

The main drawback for me was the shower. My room only had icy cold, cold, or slightly cold water that was almost warm, but never properly hot. Everything else was fantastic. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the front desk lady helped make sure our booking was in order. They even opened breakfast early so we could eat before leaving, which we really appreciated. The on-site restaurant served very good food, rated 5/5 for us, and brought it to the room. The hotel is fairly isolated, which could suit you or not depending on what you're after.
