We still enjoyed our stay, but the front desk interaction left a bad impression. We had booked a room with free breakfast, and Agoda said our child should be free. The receptionist, a lady with long hair and eyeglasses, kept repeating that breakfast covered only two people, even after my husband calmly explained the issue several times. In an irritated tone, she said, “I will call Agoda and tell your concern.” She didn't try to explain or check the details, and the whole exchange felt dismissive. We ended up paying for the extra breakfast to avoid more inconvenience. After that, she just said everything was fine. Management really needs to retrain front desk staff in customer service, communication, and basic courtesy. Patience, clear explanations, and respect matter when there’s a booking discrepancy. The town proper location is handy, but expect plenty of noise. The hotel is old and has a vintage feel that some people might like. We had the cozy Aquino Suite, with an adequately clean bathroom and good food. Most of the staff were helpful and accommodating.

We spent a week in Roxas City and liked having the President’s Inn in the town center. It’s busy there, with trikes, motorbikes, street food, the central market, and people going about their lives. The beach isn’t nearby, but you can get there for 100 pesos on trike or 150 pesos via Grab car. Pueblo de Panay, where Circulo convention center and newer hotels are, felt less convenient to us. There’s not much within walking distance, and transport was hard to find when we tried to get back to town. The rooms were spacious, clean, and super comfortable, with lots of storage, a separate shower with a curtain, and a comfy bed. I also loved having a recliner CHAIR to hang out in. WiFi was good, but there was no safe. The staff were professional and went out of their way to make us feel cared for. Breakfast was included, with four options, including pancakes if you want a break from Filipino food and rice. The on-site restaurant has an extensive traditional menu and seemed to have a steady stream of customers. We’d stay again, but would ask for a room away from the Main Street. We got used to the motorbikes, dogs, and cats fighting in the streets overnight, a trade-off for staying in the center of everything. Nearby, there are popular inihaw chicken bbq stalls right outside the hotel at night. We went several times to The Black Sands, a westernized restaurant with a real bar and outdoor lounge right on the beach. It was professionally run, with great waitstaff. Coco Veranda and Bitoy’s are options for fresh caught seafood and a view. Canadian Beaver Bar is good for happy hour and meeting the few expats in the area. At SM City (Mall), which is the best luxury mall in town, we bought clothes and went to a salon, barber, and restaurants.

The polite, accommodating staff and the hotel's nice ambiance make it a good choice. It’s very near museums, the cathedral, and historical landmarks. They call it "At the Heart of the Seafood Capital." This will be my first choice next time I return to Roxas City.

We stayed three days in Roxas City with my partner and arrived around Midnight. The staff were responsive and very friendly. The place has a lovely old house aesthetic and is in an accessible area near the public plaza, which was perfect at christmas when the lights were on. Breakfast was good and complimentary, and we got a discount during that time. 10/10, would highly recommend. I'll come back when I visit my hometown again.

The design is very nice, the coffee is delicious, and the beds in both rooms were very comfortable. The overall cleanliness was remarkable. The price was fair, and the location in Roxas City is great. The bathrooms could use some attention, especially the plumbing and ventilation. Staff were friendly but not very outgoing, and they always looked busy. The bell boy was very accommodating. The Magsaysay room was noisy because it had no isolation and faced the main street and a junction. We moved to Duterte, which was quiet.
