The worst experience of my life. We booked three days but had to leave as soon as we could. Electricity on the island didn’t work, and the staff told us it would come back at night, but that wasn’t true. We were left without water, meals, or air conditioning. The accommodation was in terrible shape and badly run down, and the beach was covered in rubbish. Employees drank alcohol all night and all day. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
For a proper rest, this remote island is hard to beat: the view is super, there’s no noise except the sea and an occasional falling coconut, and the staff are very friendly. The huts are basic and the food is simple. You can snorkel among tiny coral, too. Ask for the hut in the sea. It’s not very cheap, and the owners could put a bit more into maintenance, but that keeps the snobbish travelers away!
We had a wonderful family stay and came away with lots of memories that will stay with us. The resort team includes locals from the island village as well as people from Manila, and it gave us a chance to connect with the locals. Don’t expect a fancy resort. Come curious and ready for a different kind of experience, and you’ll get a real Palawan feeling.
For me, this was the best place in the Philippines. I spent an amazing week on the island, and the price was reasonable for getting away from it all on a tropical island. Angel was an amazing host and made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely return if I get the chance.
This is a beautiful island, and the food was great. I had an amazing week here, made even better by the staff. It’s not a fancy place and doesn’t come with lots of frills.
