The rooms are nice, but we paid for a room with breakfast and didn’t get any. Nobody told us breakfast ends at 9am, and that time wasn’t listed in the room’s welcome letter either. Most hotels in the Philippines serve breakfast until 10am, though either way the cutoff here should have been made clear.

Booking the island tour through the hotel was a great idea. It was organized amazingly, and I really recommend it. Breakfast was okay, and for the price, we had a fantastic stay. I couldn’t wish for much more. The rooms were nicely arranged, though the AC could be quieter. The hotel is just a bit outside Port Barton’s center, about a five-minute walk.

Our stay went really well, and I’d recommend this place 10/10. The staff are kind and helpful, and treat tourists like family. They also offer great tours and van transfers. The breakfast was very good too. Greetings to Kulaz and her wife!

I booked here because reviews said the staff were helpful, but the owner wasn’t around during our five-night stay and Chi, the girl who was there, wasn’t much help. At check-in she suggested a boat trip, but when I asked for more details, she didn’t know anything and just pointed to a poster saying, “Do this tour.” She was already pressuring us to book before we’d even gone into our room, so we declined. We’d hoped to ask the owner about good boat trips, which was disappointing. Chi wasn’t helpful at all. One night she locked the outside gate with a chain and padlock without warning us. At 11pm we had to make several calls to get help. Eventually I reached a local woman who contacted the owner and got through. Chi then opened the gate and said, “sorry, I forgot.” The gate hadn’t been locked on other nights. The bathroom got ridiculously hot because the air conditioning unit ventilated into it instead of through an outside wall. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, and we liked eating breakfast outside each morning.
