Dabdab Tourist Inn

The location made our short stay easy. Dab Dab Tourist Inn is a short walk from the Underground River tour departure points, shops, restaurants, and other attractions. Being close meant we could get an early start and be among the first in line. That convenience, along with the low price, made it a good option for our visit to Sabang. Our room was clean, spacious, and practical, with enough room to unwind after sightseeing. The bed was on the firm side but decent for a night. We noticed mosquitoes and other small insects, which is common in the tropics, and it didn’t detract much from our stay. The towels, toilet, and shower were fine for the time we were there. Coffee and breakfast were delivered to the room, a nice, easy start before the tour. For a budget place, the room was comfortable and offered the basics we needed. The inn’s location and the early morning call for the Underground River tour helped us make the most of our time. There were a few small drawbacks, especially the firm bed and insects, but we felt the value and convenience were worth the price.

The room was dimly lit, and my partner and I had nightmares because of its design, though we chose it ourselves. Staff were usually in their rooms, so we had to call out from reception when we needed help. They kept interaction brief, but did help with our bags and breakfast. The location is remote, though only a few minutes’ walk from the Subterranean underground river registration area if that’s your destination. For the price, it was okay.

There’s a nice garden and the caretaker was helpful enough, but the beach in front wasn’t good. We had trouble finding the resort because there’s no name sign anywhere. The room was spacious and clean, though it needed more light. The bed was very basic and there was no hot shower. Watch out with the short curtain on the glass wall, at night with the lights on people outside can see in if you get undressed. There are lots of roosters too, so expect an early wake-up.

We couldn’t get a cottage, but the garden rooms were still lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The setting is gorgeous, with the water just across the path, town a short stroll away, and lush green surroundings. We loved our stay and think Sabang is well worth spending time in, there’s lots to enjoy.
