Kuhl-in Pension

The place was clean and close to the airport, but that was about all I liked. For three evenings in a row we had no electricity, supposedly because of “heavy rain,” although it only rained heavily one evening. One day the owner told us to shower early because the water would be gone after 9 pm. Breakfast ended before 8, and if you were tired and still in bed, they’d knock and wake you to eat. The breakfast wasn’t anything special, and the water they served made me sick. I don’t know if it was tap water or just very low quality, but don’t drink it. The owner gave us permission to hand-wash our clothes, then brought it up a dozen times and said we didn’t know how to wash properly. She gave us a plastic basin and said water was “too expensive” to wash one item at a time, as we and any other normal person would. It made us wonder if she might have shut the water off on purpose :)) Clean, but not convenient or relaxing. Not recommended.

The pension has a real provincial feel, from the receiving area through the hallway and into our room. The staff were friendly and approachable, and the price was right for the room we chose. I’d recommend it to my friends.
