The location right on MacArthur Highway made getting around easy. There's a Chinabank next door, a 7/11 a little way down the block, and a food park across the street that opens at 5 PM. Buses to Manila or Laog, tricycles, and jeeps are easy to find outside, and the main Victory and Genesis bus terminals are a short tricycle ride away. Staff were cheerful, friendly, and helpful, and the rates were very budget-friendly. I got a room during the busy opening days of SM La Union, when nearly every hotel and inn in San Fernando was full, so I was lucky with the timing. The rooms are old-fashioned and dim, but I liked the antique feel. The long flight of stairs at the entrance could be hard for some people, especially with lots of luggage, though staff are ready to help. A handy base for travelers.

I should've read the reviews before checking in. The building and room were very old and had an eerie, horror-film feel, and there's no elevator. The AC barely worked, the floor under the bed was filthy, and the bedsheet had a blood stain. I feel like I wasted my money. I'd rather sleep on the street than stay here. Never again!

The highway location is very accessible, but the room really needs maintenance, even if the price is affordable. We saw cockroaches and spiders, and the sheets and blankets were too old and need replacing.

We walked in, and the receptionist let us choose between a new room and an older one on the third floor that looked creepy. We picked the new one, but it didn't look new at all. There was hair on the dusty bedsheet, the AC was noisy, the water smelled rusty, and the ceiling had mold. Toiletries were missing apart from tissue and a towel.

The building looked so old and had a creepy feel that I'd rather have slept on the street. I booked through agoda, but cancelled as soon as I saw the room. A waste of money.
