Panja Resort Palawan

The grounds have gorgeous views, an impressive pool, and spacious rooms. Staff were friendly, helpful, and knew their stuff, and I had a good experience with the laundry. I enjoyed the food too, with a nice mix of Eastern and Western choices. The location has a lot going for it, and transport services were convenient. It would help if the hotel worked with trusted tour companies, since it's hard for tourists to know which operators to rely on. The room has a great window size and could have a lovely atmosphere, but its furniture feels randomly assembled and clashes with the color scheme. In the restaurant, fake flowers could be replaced with more natural design and Filipino-themed decor. With a few thoughtful changes like these, I can see it reaching a 4-5 star level. It's a lovely hotel with strong fundamentals.

The people at Panja Resort made our stay. Juanita at reception was warm, attentive, and professional from our first day right through to checkout. Renmark in the restaurant even persuaded the kitchen to make pancakes for us twice, and we really appreciated how hard he tried. The drivers we used around the city were friendly and reliable, too. We loved the peaceful setting in Palawan, especially our pool-facing room with its view. It was a lovely place to wake up and wind down, and a great spot to disconnect. We’d happily return.

Chel was a highlight for us. She served us a couple of times in the restaurant and was so friendly that my wife and I really enjoyed chatting with her. I hope we get to see her again if we return. The restaurant was excellent, with delicious meals at lunch and dinner and a breakfast spread that included an omelette bar, proteins, bread, and fruit. We also enjoyed several reasonably priced massages at the spa. Our room was spotless and well furnished, with a lovely balcony looking over the pool, trees, and ocean. The welcome massage coupon made it easy to book as soon as we arrived. The resort felt calm, and we liked the pool. Its secluded location kept us away from traffic and main-road noise, while scheduled shuttles to Robinson’s mall and the airport made getting around easy. The drivers were courteous and safe. Staff greeted us with smiles as soon as we got out of the car. They were professional and accommodating, and their crisp white shirts looked sharp. Check-in was quick and simple, and a guard checked vehicles entering and leaving. My wife and I recently stayed at Panja Resort Palawan, and it was the highlight of our Puerto Princesa trip. We’d love to come back. It was a phenomenal place to stay.

The resort itself is gorgeous, with a top-notch pool and atmosphere, and the staff were welcoming and kind. The restaurant is just okay. The breakfast buffet has a reasonable selection, but setup was slow when I visited. At opening, nothing was labeled and the omelette station wasn’t ready. It took about 45 minutes after opening before everything was set up.
