We were extremely disappointed. The air conditioner in the room we'd paid for didn't work, so we told the staff and they moved us to another room. Then they charged us extra for the change. How is it fair to make us pay because they couldn't provide a room with working air conditioning in the first place?

The location is good, but the staff aren't. My family and I booked two rooms for one night, and in the morning, before our flight, we needed shampoo. A staff member got upset and said one cut shampoo was enough for two people. The shower heater in the premium room wasn't working either. When I asked about it, the receptionist said premium rooms don't have heaters, only deluxe rooms do 🤣 It was the worst experience. If I hadn't booked as a walk-in, I might have contacted the booking app's customer service. Hotel owner, please manage the hotel and staff better. I don't recommend this place.

We stayed in a premium room for two days and paid 2.2k, since there was availability. Check-in starts at 1 p.m. and check-out is at 11:30 a.m. Be careful about staying past check-out without telling the lobby, or it costs 1,00 pesos PER HOUR. The downtown location is convenient, close to malls and restaurants, including Mang Inasal and Janikka across the road. We stayed two nights and three days with my wife. I'd seen reviews calling the staff unkind, but our experience was different. We only asked for a receipt and directions. The lobby has enough seating for ten guests and clocks for different time zones. Corridors and rooms are spacious. There's a dining area, though I don't think they serve food there, and a dispenser with free hot and warm water. The room had a TV, hot and cold shower, bidet, hangers, tables and a chair. The aircon was a bit weak, maybe because it was old and the room was big. I'd rate its cooling a 5 out of 10, though it got colder at night, which suited us since we were only in the room then. The place and room were clean, with some ceiling stains that didn't bother us. We had an overflowing toilet, but managed to fix it.

The best part was the massage I booked from a massage service. I've had many massages and am a massage therapist myself, and Ruth gave me one of the most caring and best massages I've ever had. I chose Hacasi Hotel for a one-night stopover. It's right in downtown Tacloban and got a little noisy in the evening. Check-in staff were cordial and helpful. They even had me order breakfast that evening for 6 a.m. But there was no water in the evening when I wanted a shower. In the morning there was plenty, including hot water if you wanted it. The room was very large and comfortable. It was odd that the bed had only a bottom sheet with a comforter-style cover. Since I hadn't showered, I wasn't comfortable using the comforter, and having no top sheet felt strange. At 6 a.m. the staff seemed upset and had no idea about my breakfast order, though an adequate breakfast showed up soon after.

I don't like the staff. I left some things in the room, and nobody told me while I was still there. I also forgot to take my safety deposit cash. When I came back for it, the woman at the front desk seemed confused about why she had extra money in her account. If they were honest, she should have returned it to me without needing a reminder. I'll never recommend this hotel. Very bad experience 😤😤😤
