Hotel Sogo Avenida

I stayed for 10 days and had a really good experience with the staff. They were welcoming, funny, and always helpful. When I told them the water heater wasn’t working, they moved me to a new room quickly. The room was clean and comfortable enough. Special thanks to Alliana, Chris, and Geraldine (ate/kuya ✨) for being so friendly!

This is still my first choice when I need to stay overnight in Manila for office related works. It’s tidy, well-maintained, and easy to get to. Ms. Jocelyn and Geraldine at the Front Desk gave excellent service, and Marlo and Roel were very helpful and accommodating. Some rooms do need refurbishment, though. A few toilets have plumbing problems and don’t flush properly, and some tiles have visible mildew. I hope management deals with these maintenance issues soon. I’ll be happy to give it five stars once they’re resolved.

I couldn’t see out to the outside world from the rooms, since they don’t have windows. Maybe that’s for the best, given how busy the road is. There are lots of jeepney’s passing by, and it’s a well-located hotel, with an LRT station very close and Intramuros only around 20 minutes away. It’s clean and affordable, with good service. The kitchen makes good food and serves it quickly. Whenever we had an issue with the room, they promptly gave us a different one. The staff were very accommodating.

The staff at the Avenida branch are accommodating to guests. Sir Jef, the manager, is always there to help and is very hospitable, so I want to give him excellent feedback. Kudos to everyone at Sogo Avenida branch. Thank you!
