The place is cheap, so I can understand why upkeep is lacking. We stayed for 4 days and it served its purpose. The room was spacious enough, the bathroom was big and had a water heater, and we could sleep comfortably without being bothered. A security guard was there, so it felt safe. The room wasn't cleaned thoroughly, but it was clean enough to be comfortable. You get about what you pay for. The staff were accommodating and answered our questions. There's also a pool, which is a nice extra if you want to relax, and the hotel is close to malls and stores. We stayed here during our board examination at Sagkahan Elementary School. It's very near, about 5 minutes by Maxim.

The staff at RedDoorz @ Picas Sagkahan Tacloban were friendly and accommodating, and tried to help when we asked. The location was another plus, with a nice view and fairly easy access to get around. But the hotel itself could use a lot of work. Our room felt old and worn, with cleanliness issues. The bedding and furniture need updating, and housekeeping should do more to make the rooms feel fresh. Some facilities also need maintenance. Water pressure was low enough to make showering difficult, and the pool was a bit dirty, so it wasn't inviting for a swim. If you're looking for a budget stay and can put up with some inconveniences, it could still work. The convenient location and kind service were good, but cleanliness, room upkeep, water pressure, and pool hygiene need improvement. I'd possibly stay again if those maintenance issues were addressed. 3/5.

It's secure and clean, with an affordable room rate, a water heater, basic amenities, and a pool. Fine for sleeping overnight. Not a bad place. Thank you, Reddoors.

If you're hoping to relax during a power interruption, I wouldn't recommend this place. The room was so hot. They have a generator but won't let you use the air conditioner, so it's not a good choice if you want to rest.
