The location is convenient, right across from the mall and close to plenty of places to eat and shop. The garden and some rooms also look out over the lake. But the room badly needs an overhaul, and the price feels far too high for its condition. There was water damage all over, wallpaper peeling away, lots of insects, and even a lizard inside. Other guests brought a cat into the breakfast area one morning. It got frightened and peed on the floor. Staff didn’t seem to notice, and when we told them, they seemed reluctant to deal with it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at the listed rates.

The hotel is right across from Ayala Mall Serin, so getting around was easy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and both the room and its view were well worth it. It felt like having a view deck of my own. I had a great time ^-^

They even set up a table so we could eat outdoors, and the restaurant service was good. The buco pie we ordered was superb!

On my first visit to Amega Hotel, I found the atmosphere pleasant and the staff both efficient and easy to approach. The service was excellent, and you can't go wrong with a cup of their coffee.

The back of Amega Hotel Tagaytay looks out over green trees and rolling ridges, with a glimpse of Taal Lake on clear days. It’s across from Ayala Malls, and the hotel has just 10 rooms. I like its local feel: paintings by talented kids from Bicol, plus artificial plants tucked into nearly every corner to give the place a nature-inspired look. It reminded me of visiting a well-off aunt’s home for a weekend getaway, rather than staying in a commercial rental. It’s a mid-range boutique hotel, not a budget stay. In Guada's Authentic Recipes at Amega Hotel Tagaytay, the kitchen’s rule is to avoid artificial flavorings and MSG. The chefs and cooks mostly source herbs and ingredients directly from Tagaytay farms, so the food is fresh, though preparation can take a little longer than 15-20 minutes. Tagaytay is a wellness destination, and I’m giving Guada's Authentic Recipes a million points for its holistic juices. They showed us how a special blender makes a healthy drink from pure malunggay leaves and sweet pineapple chunks. I have a soft spot for brands that build healthy living into what they offer.
