Hotel Gabriella

The rooms are roomy and very comfortable, with balconies and the basics covered: air conditioning, hot water, a hair dryer, and a vanity desk. Hotel Gabriella also has a great pool, a stylish feel, and staff who are polite and genuinely welcoming. It’s outside the city center, which suited us well. The place is peaceful while still feeling modern, and I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say. If we come back to Bohol, we’ll stay here again. Highly recommend booking.

The main drawback is the location: Hotel Gabriella is deeper in town, so getting to malls, restaurants, and entertainment means driving, and it’s not ideal for walking around. Island City Mall is under a five-minute drive away, though, so that’s manageable. For the price, the room was clean and comfortable, with the simple essentials, and the property is well maintained. There’s laundry service, too. Breakfast is a complimentary buffet, and the food was a highlight for me, especially the flavorful Filipino dishes, chicken adobo, and traditional soups. You can also order à la carte dinner. The staff were polite, respectful, and on the ball. I’d happily recommend this good-value stay.

The pool is big enough for swimming practice, but it’s also a nice spot to relax and hang out together. The chairs outside are in the shade, so they don’t get too hot. It has a calm, refreshing feel, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. My friends and I have already been twice and love the place. Being outside the center worked well for us, since a rickshaw into town costs only about a pound. We stayed four nights and I’d recommend the hotel to anyone. The pool is clean and fresh, and the restaurant food is good. The place is very clean, the rooms are big and comfortable, and the staff are lovely. Nothing seems like too much trouble for them.
