Luxury Condo at Forbeswood Parklane

I rented 36F under the landlord Enriquez Muyot, and the experience left me concerned about how my deposit was handled. After my stay, I was charged for 12 extra days that I had never agreed to. The landlord changed the official contract start date after I had signed it, without asking me. I signed only the final page, not the altered pages. I don't believe a contract changed after signing, without mutual agreement and signatures on the updated sections, is legally valid. When I noticed the changes, I contacted the agent right away. The agent confirmed that the original terms I had agreed to were correct, and that the landlord had previously allowed me to leave my belongings until May 30th, 2025. That's the only reason I left them there. If the landlord had refused then, I would have removed everything earlier under the original agreement. I tried calling the landlord several times about this, but my calls went unanswered. After I moved out, the landlord also said items were missing. Before leaving, I took clear, detailed photos of the whole property showing nothing had been damaged, changed, or taken. The accusation felt unnecessary and untrue. I always paid rent on time, respected the property, and left it clean and undamaged. Even so, I was charged unfairly based on a contract version I never approved. Given the altered paperwork, ignored calls, and unsupported claims, it seemed the intention was to keep my deposit instead of following the agreed terms fairly. What concerns me most is that the modified document, changed after I signed, was submitted for notarization. Presenting a document altered without the tenant's consent as an official contract raises serious ethical and legal concerns. I'm sharing this so future tenants can make informed decisions. Renting should involve transparency, honesty, and respect, not altered paperwork, ignored communication, and unjustified fees.
