Alona Beach Side Inn

As a solo traveller, I felt safe throughout my stay, and the staff were super friendly. They even gave me a small bag of pasalubongs from Bohol. The location was convenient for the airport, Alona beach, and other well-known beaches, hotels and restaurants around Panglao. My room was clean and the AC worked. The only small flaw I noticed was a leaking faucet pipe. I'd rate the stay 9/10.

The location made getting around easy, with the beach and good food spots just a few steps away. The path leading to the property also kept the noise from traffic and bars outside from reaching us. Staff helped arrange our ride to the airport, and we even got a lovely gift for staying. The room had everything we needed. It's more of an inn than a hotel, but don't let that put you off. The place was spotless, and the staff were exceptionally nice and always willing to help. I rarely write reviews, but we had such a good experience here that it deserved one. The walls are a little thin. The people next door were very loud, though that's not the staff's fault. The power also went out on our last day, but they had a generator, so it caused little inconvenience. A great stay, and I'd recommend it for a clean, comfortable and convenient place.

Ma’am Evelyn was warm, apologetic and accommodating, and the staff did their best to make up for the problems. Her genuine hospitality was the redeeming part of our stay at Alona BeachSide Inn. The water supply kept cutting out while we were showering, which was frustrating and disruptive. We also hadn't been told about the construction and renovation work. Noise from 8 AM to 5 PM made it hard to relax when we'd hoped for a peaceful getaway. The location and staff had potential, but the lack of notice and basic amenities not working properly made it difficult to enjoy the stay. Hopefully these issues will be addressed.

They helped us arrange our boat and island tour, and all the staff were accommodating and knew the area well. The place is new, clean and minimalist, with fresh bedding and a workspace in the room. It's a three-minute walk to Alona Beach, with souvenir shops, restaurants, cafés and bars all around. 7/11, McDonalds and Jollibee are nearby too. Highly recommend!
