I was impressed by what I got for 2,500 PHP for four nights in a bungalow-style room for two. Prices can vary, but it felt like a steal. I booked late and worried that places would be full or overpriced, then found a spacious room with the kitchen and patio I wanted. I’d definitely stay again on my next Bohol trip. The location is about a 10-minute walk from Alona Beach or a five-minute tuk-tuk ride, without direct beach access. There are lots of good restaurants nearby, and a café just outside serves decent rappoki. The natural layout with all the trees was lovely. If you cook, the kitchenware is more than enough for basic meals and can save money. The kind receptionist let us check in early for free, even though she said it was usually against policy, and helped arrange motorbike rental and airport transfers. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes even with repellent. To be fair, the hotel had warned us and offered daily spraying and an electric racket. Shower pressure could also have been stronger.

It takes around 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach, or a tricycle costs 100p. Nearby coffee shops and breakfast places open early enough to get a proper meal before diving or other activities. We rented a scooter at the hotel for convenience, at about the same price as elsewhere in Alona, and laundry service was available at a fair rate. The bungalow was clean, the hotel was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone after a calm, clean place.

Alonaland is lovely if you enjoy being surrounded by nature. The fresh air and the little waterfall at the pool make a great, soothing background. Our first-floor room was cute and spacious, and the water pressure was perfect. Staff were kind and helpful, and they were well organized when we booked island activities and transfers through them. There are plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. A few birds and roosters start singing early, so bring earplugs if that might bother you. They're everywhere in the Philippines, but it does come with staying close to nature. I'd love to return.

The grounds feel like living in a forest, and the place is beautiful and very quiet. Beaches and all the action are within walking distance.

The patios were a nice touch, and the little pool was clean. It felt tucked into the jungle, even though the lively area was very close by. You couldn't hear the activity from the room at all. The downside was the smoking policy. Our room smelled of smoke.
