Eskaya Beach Resort and Spa

The room was dirty, and the place felt overpriced, including the spa. The owner was the rudest person I’ve met in the Philippines. The food had maggots, and the drinks seemed watered down. With those health concerns, I think the place should be shut down. Do not stay under any circumstances. South Palm next door is a better choice.

I witnessed a horrible scene here in Eskaya. An unfriendly, rude woman who I believe is the owner stopped local and foreign visitors from walking along the beach beside the guard house towards south palm, even though they were on foot. She accused foreigners of selling drugs, and brought dogs to scare and intimidate people. Who would even do that? I would never stay at a hotel owned by someone like this. She was awful and unfriendly.

We were walking along the beach from south palms pangleo shores when the security guard and a woman, possibly the owner, abused us and threatened to let their guard dog loose. We were just walking along the beach, and there wasn’t a sign saying it was private property or that access was prohibited. I wouldn’t stay here or recommend it after being treated that way. :(

I’m very disappointed in the owner, who was rude and didn’t know how to interact with or welcome guests. The staff at the resort were kind and friendly. My siblings checked in here, and we also visited last year, but we’re only posting this review now. I noticed housekeeping staff doing gardening, while the pool attendant was working on the beach and gardening there too. It made me wonder whether the resort was short on employees. I’m just telling the truth, not trying to be rude.
