It’s a cozy, adequate place with very friendly and helpful staff, and the beach is close by. The road from the highway to the hotel is unpaved, so getting there can be a little difficult. There aren’t many amenities, but at this price it’s worth it if you’re not expecting all the extras of a five-star hotel.

Bianca at reception was a big help, spoke very good English, and always had a smile. The rooms are simple, clean, and tidy, and everything worked. Wi-Fi was unreliable, though that seems to be the case across much of the area. It’s in a good, quiet location, I felt safe, and had no problems.

The nearby beach and 7/11 were the main advantages for me. I stayed in room 2 for three days after booking a week ahead, and found the floor stained and dirty when I arrived. The bedsheets had that awful hospital-like texture, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The shower head holder had a broken screw, so turning on the water sent it spraying around. There was mold at the top of the ceramic, and the old toilet seat was covered in stains. Replacing it would be easy, and leaving it that way made it seem like they didn’t care. The water pump also broke overnight and made sleeping even harder, with awful noise all night and water falling beside the window. It was fixed the next day. After a year in the Philippines and a few hotels and motels, I’d say spend a little more for somewhere better, if that’s what you’re looking for.
