For a peaceful, decent place in Lahore that won’t stretch a budget, Magnum Inn Hotel seems like a good option for short or longer visits. It’s in a handy area, with shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are tidy and looked after, with basics like Wi-Fi, AC, and clean washrooms. Staff are courteous and helpful, which makes check-in and the stay smooth.

The breakfast was very average, and there were problems with the lights and warm water. There’s a lot more I could say, but in one line: this is a thoroughly average place and should be your last choice if you can’t find a room elsewhere.

The sauce was especially tasty, and the meal I had at Swiss International Residence was delicious. When my order was delivered, the food and presentation made my day. The chef clearly has good cooking and presentation skills. As a way of appreciating the chef, I’d say: “A recipe has no soul, you as chef must bring soul to the recipe.”

The suite at Magnum Inn was average at best, and the stay turned into my worst hotel experience. The bathroom had only one towel, no toilet paper or slippers until we asked, and water went everywhere when we showered because there was no curtain. The minibar held just one frozen bottle of water. At about 9:15 AM, we called reception to ask when breakfast ended and were told 10:30, with room service as the only option. We asked to have it sent up so we could check out on time. They kept saying it would take five minutes. At 10:00, they said one person was making breakfast for everyone and asked us to wait another ten minutes. At 10:30, they said someone was on the way with it, but nothing arrived. We called at 10:45 to say we were checking out. As we left at 11:00, someone finally brought a tray, but we were already late and refused it. The reception lady was extremely rude. After travelling to over 20 countries and staying in hotels and Airbnbs, this was my worst experience. We paid 10,000 PKR for such terrible service. Absolutely not recommended.

The rooftop restaurant has a really cool view of Packages Mall and DHA, and the food was good with prompt service. The hotel is in a very good location, with an affordable price and very good service. I’m particular about cleanliness, and Swiss International Residences met my standards. The room was comfortable, breakfast was very good, and the staff were cooperative. Thanks for making my stay memorable.
