Royal Swiss Lahore

We booked four executive suites for three days. The rooms were nice and the food was good, but none of the AC units worked, and staff told us they wouldn't be fixed. Even in winter the rooms got unbearably hot and hard to live in, so summer would be worse. When friends came to visit, they were kept outside for about 15-20 minutes and told visits after 10 pm weren't allowed. Then, after I got frustrated and humiliated, security demanded 3,000 PKR per person to let them in. For a suite costing 90,000 PKR, that felt outrageous. The manager later said there was no guest fee, so I believe the security manager and receptionists kept the money. The security manager at the door also looked at us as if we were crooks. If we'd broken a security rule, they could have told us instead of judging us and being rude. I spoke with the manager, who was really nice, about how my guests were treated. He said he'd investigate. I gave them my number, but I still haven't got an answer. There were too many issues. I'd tell people booking to stay somewhere that cares about its customers instead of ripping them off and mistreating their guests.

The hotel is huge and in a good location, but they seem too keen to save on service. The centralized AC chiller is turned down so that whatever temperature you set, it stays at 24. It was hot at breakfast, reception, and everywhere else too. Only after we complained to everyone did they raise the chiller setting. Sometimes they do turn it on, but after the early morning shift change the temperature drops again. It feels like a four-star hotel where the AC isn't really used, and one day people will spread that around. If they aren't willing to pay for AC electricity, they shouldn't run a hotel. Chilling and heating are basic operating costs, and skimping on them hurts the hotel's credibility. Very bad hotel mentality. I hope they improve.

We had such a lovely stay, thanks to (manager) mr waqas and (captain) kamran. They made the hospitality and experience really special, and the hotel facilities were amazing. My favorite part was THE INCREDIBLE CHAI TEA. Definitely recommended, and I'd stay here again, 10/10.

My executive room was clean and comfortable, and the environment was great during my two-day stay. The hotel seems to be progressing quickly. The weak point was the staff's professionalism. I called room service three times, and each request took a while. That kind of service can hurt the hotel's image. They should work on staff professionalism if they want to meet international standards.
