The lack of privacy in Room 207A at Rock Star Hotel, Naran, made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable, and it ended up ruining our stay. There was a window in the bathroom, while the main room window looked toward Usama Guest House, where groups of men often gathered, talked loudly, and stared into our room. When we reported a water problem, staff told us to wait but didn’t help. They then laughed in front of me, which was humiliating. The receptionist was polite, but one staff member, a tall, skinny, bearded white man, was careless and rude. He dropped our bag without apologizing and was impatient when we asked simple questions.

The best part was having warm to hot water in the washroom around the clock. Electricity is a problem throughout Naran, so the management supplies it only for certain periods. They also have ironing facilities. Our room had two king-size beds, bright ceiling lights, and plenty of space. It was clean and tidy, and the washroom was a good size with both Indian and English WCs. Parking was ample, and drivers had separate clean rooms. Staff were cooperative, and the long-haired manager was pleasant and reasonable when discussing the room rate. We paid Rs.4000/- only.

The main drawback is the lack of an outdoor view, since other hotels surround the place. Still, it’s a nice mid-budget stay, with spacious rooms, clean washrooms, good management, and an instant water heater available 24/7. Mr. Jameel, who takes care of the hotel, was very kind and humble.

The room was clean, and we had an amazing experience. There’s a Naran market nearby, too. The geyser wasn’t working, so we had trouble getting hot water, but the staff found a solution for us. We also met Khan Baba, the jeep driver.
