Ratuszowy Hotel

The location is good, though Bydgoszcz is small enough that anywhere would be, really. The check-in setup was a problem: they don’t send the door codes ahead of time, and there are no key safes inside, as you often find at places without 24/7 service. If you arrive outside their very limited check-in hours, you’re left hoping someone eventually answers the phone. If nobody picks up and you have to go somewhere else, hope your booking was for just one night. They’ll cancel the whole booking and, in my experience, fraudulently try to charge you for the extra nights they canceled.

The location worked really well for exploring Bydgoszcz, and the price felt fair. It’s a decent place to sleep, though it’s not luxurious and could be cleaner. You get what you pay for.

The location is the one redeeming feature. Cigarette smoke was so strong that I had to buy room spray, and the bed was almost on the floor. There were basically no amenities. Awful place, though thankfully we stayed just one night.

The rooms and location are great. Just be ready to carry your luggage, since there’s no elevator.
