Gdańskie Apartamenty - Old Town Grobla Rooms

The apartment has a great spot, close to everything, and inside there’s a dishwasher, a washing machine that works okay, and the basics you need. The bathroom is cold because there’s no heating, some buttons on the TV remote don’t work, and the towels smell. The entrance and stairwell are dingy and unpleasant too. Toiletries were provided, but I had an allergic reaction after using them once, so they seemed very cheap. For the price, I expected a higher standard.

Great location, and the apartment is cozy and has what you need. There’s parking too. Really good!

The big stairs up to the entrance made getting in and out difficult for me because I have a disability. Inside, though, the decor was lovely and the atmosphere was great, with a comfy bed and sofa and a large bathtub. My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Gdańsk for my 20th birthday, and this apartment was one of the best parts. The boiler needs to be operated by hand, which was the other downside.

The location is great, the decor is pleasant, and communication with the staff was quick. They also explained how to use the TV clearly. But the entrance has old, poor staircases, the bedroom bed is very small, and there’s no air conditioning. The washing machine is old and dirty, the iron is in very poor shape, and the worn towels smelled unpleasant and didn’t seem well washed. Tea, coffee, and spices were available, but they were in shabby, unattractive condition. When we were leaving, the cleaner was very rude, shouting in Ukrainian and throwing her things around. At this price, it should be easy to find somewhere better.
