Great breakfast and rooms. Loved the hot chocolate and chocolate cake. Soda is available to buy all day, and there’s a place to fill water bottles on each floor!

Everything else was fine, and I didn’t have other problems. But we’d booked a room for three and said we’d be traveling with a child, so we chose a room for that. When we got in, the sofa that was meant to turn into a bed hadn’t been made up. Why pay for a three-person room if we have to make the bed ourselves? I told reception, and they sent pillows and sheets to the room. I don’t think that’s normal. A room booked for three should be ready for three.

The staff were all very nice and the service was good. We arrived around 1 a.m. after a very late journey, but check-in was quick. Breakfast was sufficient, with something for everyone, and the location was great, not far from most attractions. Some corridor walls had dents and could use redecorating, though it didn’t spoil our trip. Just back from three nights here, and I’d stay again.

The room was cold, and the staff seemed barely interested in helping. The next morning there was no hot water, and again nobody apologized or offered a real fix. They only gave alternatives after I made a written complaint. The worn linens and towels, overly soft pillows, and lack of glasses in the room added to the disappointment. Very bad service. I wouldn’t stay here again.
