A balcony with a city view was a lovely extra, and the Villa is in a quiet neighborhood. The old town is close, about two tram stops or a 10 minute walk away. Inside, the shared spaces were comfortable, and my room was warm and cozy, just right for cold weather. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely place for either a short or long stay, highly recommended.

The service was excellent, and for anyone who understands what a guest house is, I'd definitely recommend staying here. If you want a hotel, better pick a 2-3 star one. It seems especially suitable for families with kids and people arriving by car. On foot, be prepared to reach the property through the woods. We had a cozy, quiet room with tasty breakfast, new, clean furniture and very fast Wi-Fi, just as the booking comments said. The walls are thin, though, so we could hear the neighbors. The shower was odd, and it would be safer to have rubber mats in it and outside on the way out. Our room looked onto another house. That wasn't an issue for us, but I'd thought a view was one of the property's advantages.

The dogs barking down the street made it impossible to get decent rest. They went on from mid-afternoon to midnight, then started again early in the morning and kept going until midday. It might have been a pleasant stay otherwise, but I'm not coming back.

The common spaces feel especially homey, and the place is clean, well maintained and quiet. It's a reasonable 25 minute trip to the old town, with tram stops close by.
