The weak reception made it impossible to check anything until we got to the centre, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out even though there was a password posted at the entrance. That cost it another star. The other downside was no towels for guests. We had brought our own, but having them available would be a big plus since most places provide them.

The location is great, which is why I’m giving two stars, but 50 PLN per person is too much for these conditions. There’s no kitchenette, just a microwave and fridge in the hallway. The room has old, low armchairs and a low coffee table, so where are you supposed to eat breakfast, on your lap? There’s only a tiny sink for washing a coffee cup, and even brushing your face and teeth there is a real nuisance. It’s an old guesthouse.

It was warm and clean, and the location is a real plus. The building itself is quite nice and the room cozy, but the details let it down. There was no toilet paper or soap in the restroom, and the tiles by the sink were awful. A can of white tile paint would be enough to fix them, but as they are, they take away the room’s charm.

We arrived to collect the keys after 5 PM, as agreed, and were told without any concern that our room had been sold and there was nothing she could do. The lady said, “Well, we had a reservation, but there’s nothing she can do and she won’t have a room for us.” We’d booked by phone that morning and the reservation had been accepted. We were left with nowhere to stay. Despicable.
