EuroHotel Katowice

The breakfast was fresh, tasty and great value. When a tray ran out, the kitchen staff even asked what food we'd like them to make more of so we wouldn't miss out. Staff were very friendly, and check-in at 4:00 after our airport arrival took just two minutes, even with the 24/7 setup. The hotel was cosy and compact, simple but very efficient, and especially handy for anyone visiting for ice hall activities. Our room was clean, well kept, the right size, and had no odors at all. The bathroom was spotless and the shower pressure was good. Housekeeping changed towels and bedding very frequently, maybe even a bit too often, in a good way. We found an open spot in the free hotel parking lot every night. Soundproofing was good too: there were guests next door, but we couldn't hear them. For such a competitive price, it felt more like a three-star hotel than the two stars it lists.

The hotel was about a 10-minute walk from the center, with Žabka stores nearby and easy access by car. The staff were kind and helpful, and they gave us advice and sorted out our problems. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, with a coffee machine, a juicemat, and smoothies. For me, the hotel really deserves four stars, and the price for the quality was great. The hygiene supplies in the room were disappointing, though. There was only soap and shampoo, and I expected more from a hotel like this. I also found hairs under the sheets.

The restaurant staff were very kind and helpful, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious and generous portions. Our room was clean and modern. There were a few downsides. The receptionist's English was poor, there was no electricity in the room for a while one morning, and the shower ran short on hot water. At midnight, drunk people were making noise in the hotel parking area.

Good value for the money. We stayed one night, and the room was clean and nice. Check-in and check-out were through an automated kiosk.
