Hotel Bona

The room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too. It’s conveniently just outside downtown. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

The food was the highlight of my stay, especially the great home-cooked Polish meals. The staff were friendly and went the extra mile, and the location was quiet. My room was clean with a modern en-suite, rates were very cheap, and there was a large breakfast selection.

We arrived by Uber. There is a large car park with a controlled gate. Staff greeted us at the 24-hour reception, gave us a room key, and told us the breakfast times. The room is very basic but does what it needs to. It has a bed with bedside tables, a wardrobe, a table with bottled water but no kettle, two chairs, a mirror, a small TV, and a coat hanger. Towels were provided, but there was no hair dryer. The en suite shower had enough pressure, though the hot water ran out if we used it for too long. Cold showers aren't fun. The room was clean but not spotless. The furnishings were dated, like something your grandparents might have, but they served their purpose. The bed was very comfortable, and extra blankets were available if needed. Central heating was on. There was a desk fan but no air conditioning, so I imagine the room gets warm in summer. Breakfast was a delicious self-service buffet. There is a bar selling various drinks, and you can take coffee and other drinks to your room. A night's stay offers excellent value for money. I probably would have given three stars, but the staff were incredibly helpful. Our suitcase had a mishap on the way to the hotel: a bottle of drink leaked all over our clothes for a wedding the next day. The hotel has no laundry facilities, and we didn't have time to go to a laundrette. The woman at reception offered to take our soaked clothes to her home and wash them so they would be clean the next day. That was a huge relief, and we were very grateful. This is what sets the hotel apart from others: the staff are kind and friendly.

The food was very good, and I have to say the accommodation was a great deal and very comfortable. I will stay there again because it's one of the best in the area. Thank you for explaining where the greenhouses came from and sharing your future plans for a mini golf course. A nice family business. :)
