The receptionist was polite, apologized, and promised to resolve things, but the night kept getting worse. The ventilation stopped working, and a light fixture made a loud, constant ticking noise that kept me from sleeping. I called the front desk several times, but nobody answered, so the in-room phone was useless. I finally went to reception in my pajamas to complain. They said the hotel was full and suggested waiting to see if another guest failed to show up, so I might be able to move into the last room. This was at 12:30 AM. For a high-end place at full capacity in mid-June, not having an on-call electrician or maintenance technician for basic room failures is unacceptable. I checked in on a business trip, and for the price I expected standard hospitality. Instead, there was dust and hair all over the floor, plus a discarded lollipop under the desk that looked like it had been left by the last ten guests. The floors clearly hadn't been swept, mopped, or sanitized. The hotel doesn't provide room slippers, supposedly under its green policy, so guests have to walk barefoot through the dirt and then into bed. I know other guests may have had better experiences, but mine was unequivocally one star. With hygiene that poor and the room's basic systems failing, I won't stay there on my upcoming vacation in this city and won't recommend it to corporate colleagues. For a premium price, the so-called green policies feel like an excuse for cost-cutting, systemic neglect, and normalizing poor hygiene. Avoid this hotel if you value your money and basic comfort.

The location is great, close to groceries and the main tourist sights. On our last night the TV had a problem and needed replacing. Reception tried to fix it and offered us another room, but moving felt like too much hassle for a minor issue. The reception staff found a great way to make it up to us, so I'd have given five stars across the board otherwise.

The location made it easy to spend the day exploring, with the center very close by. The room was clean and reasonably modern, and it had a kettle and tea supplies. There were refillable water stations along the floor, which was handy for topping up bottles. Staff were friendly enough. It’s a solid place if you’re mostly out during the day and just need somewhere to come back to in the evening.

The room was comfortable, and everyone I met on staff was kind and treated me really well. I also loved how welcoming the hotel felt as soon as I walked in, it smelled amazing. I’d accidentally booked the wrong date, but reception were incredibly helpful and sorted everything out as well as they could. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

Krakow is easy to explore from this hotel, which is in a perfect spot. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable, and there are tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was adequate, though a bit chaotic while it’s being served in a small conference room, presumably during restaurant refurbishment. There’s no room service or safe. The TV has no English channels, but you can use Netflix with your own password or watch YouTube. The bath and shower are high, deep, and slippery, with no mat or grab handle to help you get out safely, so I wouldn’t recommend it for elderly or disabled guests.
