Cube House Aparthotel

The location was the best part, but you can find nicer hotels in the Old Town center for a similar price. This was described as an aparthotel, yet there was only a kettle. There’s no reception. We couldn’t work out how to check in because we hadn’t been given instructions, until two kind women told us to message the number by the entrance. Then we had to cross a very dark outdoor area to find the apartment. The room felt below average and run down. The twin beds were pushed together but kept sliding apart if you got near the middle. We had no heat the first night and were freezing. Staff didn’t respond to my message about the cold, and only fixed it in the morning. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We arrived for our four-day booking at Cube Aparthotel on 23rd September 2024 to find a run-down building with locked doors. After we called, we were sent entry codes. Inside, the building made a poor impression, and our room was at the back. It was advertised as cosy, but it didn’t feel cosy at all. There was a mouldy smell, the bathroom door was warped and wouldn’t close, and the twin beds were extremely narrow. There was no wardrobe, just a rail for hanging clothes. The place felt uncomfortable and neglected, and looked nothing like the picture. After about five minutes, we packed up and booked a hotel instead. I can only describe the accommodation as depressing. We ended up paying twice for those four days, and were disgusted that anyone would offer such poor accommodation these days. It seems there are several properties under Cube Hotel, so check carefully which one you book. From the reviews below, it looks like people may be describing a completely different property. The kids loved the spacious rooms, with plenty of room to play, and the bathroom was clean. Room service was quick, and the staff were very positive. We went to local cafes and restaurants for breakfast and found Meeples Restobar just around the corner down the street. The breakfasts were good value for the quality, and the children especially loved playing the board games there. We had a good stay and made happy memories in Krakow. We’ll come again!

Getting inside was a struggle, and I had to chase them for an entry code. The approach through the courtyard was dark, dingy and unlit. I was there alone with my child, who was frightened and screaming in the pitch black. I wouldn’t bring a child here. The room was extremely cold and very poor. It was advertised with a kitchen area, but there was only a dirty kettle and a few cups, so I had to feed my child from a cup. The only water I could get was from the bathroom tap. There were carpet stains, an odd tray on the floor, and greasy handprints above the bed. The curtains were coming off the wall and the carpet wasn’t fitted properly. It’s more like a bedsit than an apartment. Don’t waste your money.
