Mikołajska 5 Apartments

This is probably my favorite apartment in krakow. It’s right on the old town rynek, so all the attractions are easy to reach on foot. The place is spacious, well stocked, and modern, with a fridge, hair dryer, soaps, tea, coffee, and all sorts of other amenities. Just remember that it’s an older historic town, so they can’t really add elevators and it’s stairs only. We actually liked that, since it gave us a workout after all the delicious food, haha. Love this place and saved the listing for next time.

We were in room 17, which was a good size and decorated with a lot of taste. The apartments are very handy for visiting the main square, and check-in was pretty easy. I would have expected to give this a 5/5. Instead, our stay was ruined by loud music blasting right outside the window in the courtyard until 0400 on both nights. We complained to reception after the first night. The staff member was cheeky, saying, “You are in Krakow city what do you expect?” She then partly walked that back and said they shouldn’t be using the courtyard, so it must just be a party. There were at least 50 people there on both nights, and the area was spotless in the morning, which made it seem really unlikely to me that this was an unorganized party. If you want to get any sleep, I wouldn’t recommend booking here.

I had a great vacation here, with quiet, nice neighbors. The building is old and has its own charm, and the location is good. The girls at reception were very kind and friendly.

This felt more like a 1.5-star apartment than anything close to three stars, so I wouldn’t recommend it. We had two bags weighing 23 kg each and had to carry them up two or three floors because there’s no elevator. The old wooden stairs felt like they might break. There were dirty rugs in the bathroom, lots of stains on the couch, and no sign of the Wi-Fi password anywhere.
