Our family of five had a superior apartment at the top of the building, with plenty of space, good cleanliness, and all the amenities we needed. We visited in December and it stayed warm the whole time. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, with advice about public transport and places to eat. They also let us leave our luggage there so we could explore Krakow before check-in and after check-out. Red Brick Apartments are ideally placed for seeing the city and using its excellent transport links. They exceeded our expectations, especially for the modest rates.

The location is the one good thing here. Breakfast was very low quality, so skip it. The house smells of curry because there's an Indian restaurant downstairs, and the church bell wakes you at 6am, so forget about sleeping in.

If you spend most of your time out exploring, this can be a handy base. The day trip pickup point is only a two minute walk away, and you're close to the market square. Krakow has amazing sights, so enjoy your time in this amazing country. But we weren't told there was ongoing building work just 20 feet away. My wife and I had no curtain at our window, and most mornings we woke to builders on the scaffolding staring in at us. They also started shouting to each other very early. Most of the beds are pull-out sofas, and they're really uncomfortable.

The apartments feel dated and worn, and the cleaning wasn't done properly. There were no curtains, and the shower was blocked and flooded. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I was close to changing our plans after reading some reviews, but I'm so glad we went ahead. We booked through a third party, and the apartments were clean and comfortable, lovely to return to after a day of sightseeing. The staff were welcoming and friendly the whole stay. They're near the main train station, and if you have trips booked, the bus stop is just around the corner. There's also a huge shopping centre at the end of the road. As others have said, you can smell curry, but it didn't affect our stay and we got used to it. The curry house is amazing, by the way! Thanks for a lovely stay.
