Domki Nad Jeziorem

I’ve stayed here twice in winter, and it was peaceful both times, with a view of Solina. The cottages are new, clean and well-kept. Downstairs there’s a living room with a TV, kitchenette and bathroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a double bed and an extra single bed. The kitchenette is fully equipped: fridge, microwave, gas stove, kettle, dishes, cutlery, plates, glasses, cups, wine glasses, pots, pans, utensils and dish soap. The bathroom has a shower and small hairdryer, and there are soap and towels. There’s also a clothes rack on the balcony. The only thing I missed was a washing machine ;) The water temperature control works in steps, so it can be a little hard to get just right, though it’s manageable. Water pressure and regulation are an issue across the whole Polańczyk area, apparently due to renovations and pipe replacement. A fireplace in the downstairs living room heats the cottage. It creates a cozy feel, though you should expect some smoke smell indoors. For me, as a city dweller, that’s part of the charm and a plus. I imagine it’s just as comfortable here in summer, with a children’s play area, stone garden grills and a gazebo in front of the cottages. The owner was very friendly and even lit the fireplace for us on arrival. A lovely place by the lake to relax, I recommend it!
