Willa Amicus

We stopped by the restaurant while we were in Zakopane. The service was good, and the hearty dishes were well prepared. I especially liked the Almost English Breakfast. To make it a bit more English, though, it could use baked beans.

We’ve been coming to Zakopane once or twice a year for seven years, and Willa Amicus has long been our favorite place to eat. The food is delicious and homemade-style, portions are generous, and prices are fair. This weekend we decided to stay overnight too, and it was definitely the right call. We were four in room #4, which was freshly renovated, clean, and comfortable, with good beds and everything we needed. The common area was clean and had a cozy, lovely scent. Having a private parking spot included with the room was really convenient. We’ve always had good impressions and will be back. Funny that we’d never left a review before, probably because we thought they already had enough good ones :)

We came for lunch twice and really enjoyed the food. The portions were big and the price was fair. It’s air-conditioned inside, so it stays cool. You place your order at the counter, there’s no table service.

The room looked out onto the backyard, which wasn’t a pleasant view, and the parking area was small, though free. The woman at reception was friendly but busy, since she was also taking care of the restaurant. The young waitress was rude in the mornings.
