When we got to the “apartment” around 7 p.m., the woman handing over the keys seemed surprised we’d arrived with children. She thought she was expecting three adults. It clearly hadn’t been prepared for us. We’d been meant to check in at 2 p.m., but the radiators were off, and on that first night we were cold. It was about 5 degrees Celsius outside at 8 p.m. Communication with the owner was only average. We were also caught off guard by a 60 PLN resort fee payable in cash, which wasn’t mentioned in the booking offer. We travel often and these fees are usually listed clearly. Shortly afterward, the woman who gave us the keys texted that it was 100 PLN because of the children, saying the landlord hadn’t read that detail in the reservation. For five people staying five days, there was only half a roll of the cheapest gray toilet paper, like you see in public restrooms. The shower head holder wobbled on the wall, and we were waiting to see whose head it would fall on. The kitchen had only basic dishes and four coffee mugs, so we had to wash things as we went and drink quickly for the next person to have a cup of tea. There was no dish soap either, so we had to buy that and more toilet paper. A drip coffee maker was there, but without filters, so it was useless. The floors in every room were tiled and very cold, with no underfloor heating. Shower pressure was so poor it was hard to rinse off the foam. It all looks nice, but isn’t practical. These pseudo-apartments cost over 1000 PLN for 4 days, which is a farce. Leaving had its own hassle: the door resisted locking, and unless you pulled it tightly, you’d have to leave the APARTMENT unlocked. The description also promised an underground garage, but there wasn’t one. We parked in the open. The gate remote didn’t work. I suspect it needed its own batteries. We used the simple tool supplied with it to open the barrier, but had to get out of the car to reach the lock on the post, since few people have a two-meter arm and it’s hard to pull the car closer. I left with a very bad taste in my mouth after staying in this place the owner proudly calls apartments. We’re taking up the missing resort tax information with Booking. The room description on Booking.com is inaccurate, and we don’t recommend these rooms to anyone. Cleanliness and communication with the woman who handed us the keys were okay. The place does look good, and the location is a plus.
