The bathroom is shared and unisex, with showers and toilets close together in the same room. It serves around 12 rooms, each with 4-12 people, which wasn’t ideal. Solo women traveling should know there are no female-only dorms. The staff were friendly enough, and the rooms were okay, but very basic. The hostel isn’t quiet either. Noise carries through the echoing hallways, so it’s not good for light sleepers. The kitchen, common room, and reception are all in one space, and the facilities are basic. I stayed two nights. It’s nice enough and not a terrible hostel, but it’s certainly not "boutique" as the name suggests. Two stars.

The location is very central, with public transport nearby for getting to the main attractions and the airport. The cafe close by serves a great breakfast, about a minute’s walk away. My single room was clean and a decent size, but I was surprised by the condition of the staircase and room. The building is worn and shows its age. I checked before arriving and they didn’t provide shampoo. The hair dryer from reception was really old and looked mouldy. There’s no soundproofing, so I could hear everything in the corridor, including the cleaning staff swearing to each other. Wi-Fi was very patchy, and I had to use mobile data a few times.

The breakfast mix-up meant we had to ask each day whether we could go in, though we did get refunded each time. That got uncomfortable. The room itself was tiny, with a small bed and a floor that didn’t seem clean before we checked in. It’s okay if you just need somewhere basic to sleep. But the walls are so thin that we heard guests talking loudly in the hall after quiet hours started at 10 pm. We were about 1 m from reception, and the receptionist didn’t step in. It wasn’t the worst stay, but I wouldn’t come back.

I checked out right away after learning at 11 pm that I’d be sharing a room with men. The rooms aren’t separated by gender. When I anxiously asked to move, reception told me to come back if anyone bothered me. I expected no refund, and that’s what happened. The staff were polite, so I don’t blame them, but I do have a question for the administration. I wouldn’t advise women to stay here if feeling secure matters to you.

The breakfast was incredible, served at a local cafe with a great spread, handcrafted coffee drinks, and a nice atmosphere. The hotel felt somewhat expensive beside other options, especially in Poland. My room was fairly small and only moderately comfortable, and being right by reception and the stairwell meant noise from cleaning staff and people checking in or out. The location is great, though, and the staff were friendly.
