The apartment’s location and feel are terrific, in a tenement building opposite the church. Check-in and check-out were very easy, and the room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a bathroom stocked with what you need. There are even four Hive buses right outside, so you can set off and explore Poznań straight away. The price for the quality is fantastic. My only gripe was the heating: the radiators were off, and it felt chilly when I arrived, though it was fine after two hours. Good to bear in mind. A solid four stars.

The room was small but tastefully decorated, and everything inside felt brand new. The kitchenette was well equipped, with coffee, tea, and drinking water provided. We’d asked for one bed, so the host added a large mattress, and we slept like royalty. Since we were going to the Grand Theatre, it was great to stay so close. The place is set up in an old, historic tenement house, but it was surprisingly quiet despite being in a big city. We were also glad to arrive in February and find the heating already on, including in the bathroom.

I’d also advise against staying here. I’ve never had a confirmed booking where the check-in code wasn’t sent on arrival day and the phone was switched off too. The owner didn’t even have the decency to tell me they weren’t renting the room after all. Leaving someone without a place to stay during the lockdown reflects badly on the owner. I don’t recommend it.

Dragging luggage through the streets to reach the apartment wasn’t pleasant, since we had to collect the keys somewhere else, even though it was fairly nearby. Once there, the room was simply but nicely furnished, and the location was great. The prices were affordable too.

The receptionist was pretty sharp while handling the booking. I said, “Good morning, the offer asks us to give two hours’ notice before arrival, so we’ll be there in about two hours.” The reply was, “Is your reservation for today?” There’s also a 200 fine for anyone who doesn’t follow the rules. What happens if they find cigarette ash in an apartment where smoking isn’t allowed?
