Grand Hotel Boutique

The staff got the job done, but they didn’t feel friendly at all. No hello or smile, and it felt like even getting their attention was a favor. Poor service, and I won’t return. My room was much smaller than the website photos suggested, with very basic furniture and no real decoration. It felt like a student room rather than a 4* hotel. There weren’t any snacks in the minibar, either. I was also told that room service and the restaurants weren’t available to hotel guests that night because of a private event. Breakfast food was nice, but the atmosphere was awful. Pop music was loud, and loud latino music was also coming from the bar in the same room. It felt like having breakfast in a club, and the area was dirty, with food on the wall and floor near my table. This is a very noisy party hotel. I arrived in the evening after a long day of travel, and there was a live concert in the central lobby/restaurant. The glass-shattering noise meant I had to shout to speak to reception. They promised I wouldn’t hear it in my room, but the singing and drums were still very loud until 23:30. Resting was impossible, even with ear plugs.

We had a great stop here on our journey. The hotel is beautiful, and the restaurant food was great. It’s a real shame management decided to put a night club and a hotel in the same building. Without that, this would easily be a 5* review.

The reception team were polite and helpful, and I really enjoyed my stay. It’s a very nice hotel right in the city center, with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.

I usually don’t write reviews. If I pay for a service and get what I paid for, I don’t feel a review is needed. Most of the time that works, but sometimes I get less than I paid for, and sometimes I feel I get more. My stay at Grand Hotel Boutique was one of those times I got more, so I wanted to share it. Before arriving, I contacted the hotel with a travel question. Paulina, a young lady, got back to me and was very helpful, even helping me make plans. During my three-night business trip, the entire staff, the room, and the hotel itself all went beyond what I expected. My wife and I are already planning a vacation there, and we’ll stay at the Grand Hotel Boutique.
