Beatka

I won’t be coming back, and I can’t recommend Beatka in Świeradów after this stay. I’ve been to many guesthouses in Poland and abroad and have never experienced behavior this embarrassing. The owner seemed to have forgotten what hospitality means. She lacked empathy and warmth, and made a fuss the next day because she hadn’t received the full amount yet, even though arranging things for guests should be part of the service. I was there in March 2026 for a three-day women’s group meeting. The website reviews and my friends’ first contact with the owner had given us a very different impression. Since we were out hiking much of the time, we didn’t use much electricity or water. The owner knew we were having a girls’ night out and gave us a fairly nice room, but we had to ask her to heat it. There was no trash can. When we found a plastic laundry basket, she said we could put rubbish in it, but gave us no bag and told us to take it out at the end. During the party, we weren’t given a place to wash dishes. Instead, she sent us to the toilet, where the sink was tiny, and gave us a small bottle of dish soap and a sponge. We had to wash our cups and plates there, alongside E. coli bacteria, because we needed the same dishes for breakfast. The group had different plans, and some friends hadn’t ordered breakfast. I had, and the food was delicious, though it was a standard buffet. The others joined us to chat and laugh over the meal, eating their own food while we ate ours. The owner complained that more people were at the tables than had ordered breakfast, apparently not realizing the others weren’t taking anything from her buffet. Tea and coffee from the drip machine were charged separately. When a friend asked for more coffee because a small pot wasn’t enough for about a dozen of us, the response was a sulky sound. The rooms are small but fairly clean, with bathrooms and balconies. The breakfasts are good, though ordinary. I can also praise the woman who helped in the kitchen. The owner, though, made the whole experience unpleasant.

The owners are very nice, and the room has good equipment for the affordable price. It’s reasonably priced and seems especially suited to younger people. The slopes are a bit far away, though that may not be much of an issue if you’re young. Worth checking out for yourself.

It’s a handy base for groups, large or small, with the center of Świeradów nearby and trails toward Stŏg Izerski and Smrek close at hand. The rooms were clean and well kept, and the service was very friendly. I’d recommend it.

The owner was really nice, and I had a pleasant view from both the window and balcony. It’s close to the center, the rooms are clean, and the internet and TV keep you connected to the outside world.
