Apartamenty Lola

The location was the one thing I liked. Everything else about this apartment was a letdown. The photos online look like they were taken ages ago, because the real place was in much worse shape. It needs renovation, and the problems weren’t just dated decor. Maintenance and cleanliness were poor, too. As soon as I got in, barely 10 meters into the room, I had to Hoover the filthy floor. The cupboard had dirty dishes and glasses, and there wasn’t any hand soap. The fold-out sofa was broken, and the double bed squeaked so badly that changing position woke the whole family. Scratched, dirty walls and a hole by a socket with loose cables sticking out added to the signs of neglect. Maybe that would be tolerable somewhere more modest, but at nearly PLN 400 a night, I expected a clean, well-maintained place. Then management required us to throw away the rubbish before leaving, on their own ridiculous terms. If the room had looked as clean and nice as the pictures, I might have let some things slide. As it was, it felt like guests were expected to do a deep clean. Next I’ll be Hoover-washing the windows and changing the sheets myself, as a joke! When I brought up the problems, the owner brushed me off and said it was obvious from the moment I arrived that I wouldn’t like the place. I only met a disinterested receptionist, and later the manager denied responsibility and blamed me without proof, just as they did on Booking.com. It feels like a scam to cheat guests out of their money. I can’t wait for the owner to reply and deny everything again, like he did on booking an here.
