The old-town setting in a beautiful listed mansion was hard to beat. Inside, everything felt cosy and thoughtfully arranged, from the clean, well-kept room to the little things the owners provided, like a kettle, cutlery, sponge, washing-up liquid and moisturizing shower gel. It all seemed recently decorated. One of the best stays I've had in recent years.

I was in town for a conference and stayed here while the restaurant was closed. The owner was so helpful and accommodating. My bedroom faced away from the street, which kept it quiet, while the big top-floor windows looked out over the main road. The bedding and bathroom were both nice, and with the place right in central Toruń, I could walk everywhere.

There are rooms at two different locations, and one is on a busy tourist street. I ended up in a front-facing room there, and it was noisy enough that I didn't sleep well. I also waited a long time for the room, then got what felt like the worst one. I wondered if it was because I'm not Polish or because I checked in first, though I can't know for sure. That experience made the glowing reviews hard for me to understand. If you book, I'd arrange the room details in advance.
